Saviour of The World Production

MY LIFE WAS EMPHATICALLY TOUCHED BY
“THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD”!

I have had a wonderful, thrilling ride during the past several months, preparing for the SOTW.
I loved every minute of it…well, almost every minute. I was petrified during the try-outs! Especially when they surprised me and had me sing solo in front of all my competition and viewers…ahhh! But the staff was always so full of love and the spirit. We always felt the spirit so strongly during every part of this process. Many tears were shed from beginning to end. Oh the joy of it. It was so wonderful!
When we began practicing the songs every Saturday morning in the chapel, it was so powerful! Becky was so amazing with her great love and meekness. She made sure we understood and felt the spirit. It filled the room to capacity every time! The Staff always gave opportunity for anyone to share their hearts and testimonies and this added so much to the experience and the spirit and it helped us all bond together and share our hearts and love with one another. It all was so undeniably inspired and orchestrated to make this an unbelievable journey for all of us and to prepare the way for us to invite others to Come unto Christ! I loved every minute of it! My own testimony was strengthened and my soul at times would burst with a deep love for my Savior and all the Stake members involved, especially our dedicated staff.
I was in the fruit picking scene and we were struggling with interacting with each other in the way we needed to, to make it joyful. Again, our director; Tracy Pratt, was inspired and took us aside and asked us to serve one another throughout the rest of our time together preparing for SOTW. She knew this would create a sisterhood of love and it did!We are so close and full of love for each other! The love and sweetness of the other children in the scene was so endearing. There were many acts of service every week. It was so fun and exciting! I loved being a part of that wonderful, fun scene! During the scene where Joseph had just learned that Mary was with child but he was not going to be the Father of the Savior, he was overcome with fear and doubt. I was an angel in the colonnade looking down on his plight. I was full of love and compassion for him but knew that all would be well with him and Mary. I felt myself trying to comfort him in spirit and testify in the truth and divinity of the Savior and the situation. Then I was struck with an eternal perspective! It was so wonderful. I realized that I was experiencing truth beyond the veil. It was made manifest that we; through our trials and sorrows, are being looked down upon by real, loving angels! They are surrounding us through our sorrows, lovingly supporting us and trying to testify that all will be well with us! I loved that experience. I was a witness to the amazing transformation of Brother Rigley who portrayed the Savior. He was different, transformed! We were all drawn to him and he testified that he was drawn to us! We all felt such love for him and a need to touch and embrace him and he did us! When I saw him for the first time; in his white robes, appear to the Apostles after the resurrection, I thought my soul would melt! It was a glorious sight to behold! There was such a hush surrounding me and I wept longing to embrace “Him”, my Savior!

Preparing for the production of SAVIOR OF THE WORLD

Bob and I are going to be in an amazing production of Savior of the World. Our stake is doing it in May (1st-3rd). So if you noticed bob's beard looking pretty full and scruffy, that is why. He is a priest during the time of Christ's life on the earth. This production is put on at the conference center every year. It has been an amazing spiritual experience so far! You will be greatly blessed to come see it and bring investigators! It will be a wonderful missionary experience! We are thrilled, excited and honored to be a small part of this opportunity!

Check out my Slide Show!

Cruisin to the Mexican Riviera!

Bob and I needed some much needed R&R after the wedding and so after our short trip to ND and Christmas, we went crusin'! The seas were rough a few nights, but we had a great time and lots of laughter! We went with our friends and their family. they are so hilarious! here are some highlights. enjoy!

"chillin'" on the ship...lovin' all the food!
our nightly dinners were a hoot, our table was so noisy with laughter! Our waiter Alejondro(?) was so cute and funny. when I asked for a tiny piece of cheese cake he brought out a speck! we all laughed our guts out. you had to be there!
outside a restraunt in san lucas cabos. I am actually returning there with my best friend in May and her 2 children. (actually that has been changed to Cancun in August!)
heading to a gorgeous beach called Lovers Beach, in a glass bottom boat. after looking at all the hundreds of fish, my friend looked up and saw something perched on a rock and said "what kind of fish if that?" everyone burst out laughing at her. it was a crane! she got teased throughout the rest of the trip!
As we were eating in this little shrimp factory, some of our party started looking under the table and was moving around quickly with concern. then I saw it! a HUGE cockroach!!! ahhhhhhhhhh! then we got serenaded by 3 old geezers (without invitation mind you) and we enjoyed it so much, until they were done and asked for tips!

...by the way a whale doesnt have wings!!! hahaha

Random pics of our trip to North Dakota

As you can see we had a lot of fun with the kids!
See below for more details

North Dakota for Christmas!

Wow what a trip! Lots of driving, sleeping and white knuckle driving snow storms! But most important we had a wonderful time with the kids, dad working with Mike on his flag box and Hollie's good cooking!

It was so wonderful seeing the kid's reaction when they saw us standing in their living room! That alone made the long drive worth it! It was lots of fun watching the kids open their stockings from us. Mason about crawled inside to find his many little surprises. They loved their pop rocks! It was great fun taking pics of their reactions. We got lots of rest and wonderful hugs and food. We did some site seeing in Northwood and saw the house Mike and Hollie have been remodeling. A tornado went through and destroyed a lot of trees and homes etc. It was a sadly amazing site. They have done a marvelous job on the house! We also did some santa shopping.

We are glad for the blessing of being there for a week.

getting closer to the big day!

Well, the wedding is only 16 days away. almost 2 weeks! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! im gettting so nervous, anxious, excited and pooped! it's been an insurmountable couple of months for me. so many things pounding down on me. i dont know how i'm surviving or accomplishing things. wait, yes i do! purely the Lord is sustaining me! I can't wait to have it over so I can enjoy the Christmas season and have my house back. it is so full of wedding! fun fun. we are getting things done in a mad rush now. i think Chelsi is realizing at last how much there is to do. well almost. i'm doing a lot of it since she has work and school. and what doesnt get done then that's ok. it doesnt matter. what matters is that we all pull together to make this a memorable experience for chelsi! to put our differences aside and be a happy, eternal family no matter what!
we are especially excited to have mike and hollie here with us! here's hoping all will go well!!!
